Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you’re new to therapy or already familiar with the process, I encourage you to take a moment to read through the FAQs. If you choose to work with me, you’ll be asked to sign a therapy agreement. This outlines what you can expect from committing to therapy, as well as what will be expected of you.

If you feel that talking therapy might be right for you and you're interested in working together, please get in touch by email. If I have availability, I’ll offer you a 50-minute online initial consultation, which costs £40.
Before the consultation, I’ll ask you to complete a brief personal information form and privacy agreement.
During the session, I’ll ask some questions about you, your reasons for seeking therapy, and a bit about your background. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about me and how I work. This first meeting is a chance for us both to see whether we’re a good fit.
If we decide not to move forward together, I’d be happy to suggest alternative options or refer you to other resources.

Feel free to explore the ‘About Me’ and ‘Approach’ sections of my website to get a sense of whether my way of working resonates with you.
Trust your instincts. Our initial consultation is an opportunity for us both to explore whether we’re a good fit for working together.
I see the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process, where both client and therapist actively contribute to the work.
It may take more than one session to determine if we’re a good match, but it’s important that we both feel comfortable moving forward together.

We’ll meet for 50 minutes each week, on the same day and time. This is a mutual commitment we make for the length of our work together.
There will be breaks during my annual leave which amount to 6 weeks per year. These will be communicated well in advance.
I am currently unable to offer double-length sessions or sessions on a fortnightly basis.
-
I offer open-ended therapy, meaning we can continue working together for as long as it feels helpful and meaningful to you.
When you feel ready to end therapy, we’ll discuss it together and agree on an appropriate time to bring our work to a close.
