Welcome
There are times in life when we all feel lost, overwhelmed, or weighed down by heavy emotions. If this resonates with you, you may be looking for a warm, non-judgemental space where you can pause and begin to process your feelings at your own pace. You may feel stuck in unhelpful patterns, whether in your relationships or in how you treat yourself. At these times, having an encouraging space for reflection and self-exploration can develop the understanding and perspective needed for meaningful change.I am a trained, qualified Integrative Counsellor and registered member of the BACP. I support people through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. Some of the most common issues I work with are grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anger, guilt, shame, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck and powerless. These experiences may be influenced by your social, political, and material conditions. I recognise the interplay between individual experience and how wider social realities contribute to your sense of self and wellbeing.
"Don't ever stop exploring. Don't hold back reaching out. Don't let yourself cease wondering. Don't let your light dim down."
- Emmy Van Druzen
About Counselling & Psychotherapy
Whatever brings you here, reaching out for support is a courageous first step and it is important to find a therapist that feels like the right match for you. I recommend checking out the main professional bodies in the UK, the BACP and UKCP for more for guidance on choosing a qualified, experienced, and accredited counsellor or psychotherapist.
Whilst therapy isn’t a quick fix and won’t provide all the answers, it invites you to express yourself freely to someone who listens empathetically and offers thoughtful insights. It encourages exploration, helping you to better understand your inner world and how you relate to your outer world.
Many people find that therapy helps them cultivate a deeper sense of self-acceptance, trust, and compassion, which improves the quality of their relationships. If you’re curious about beginning therapy, you might like to explore the FAQs to get a sense of what to expect.
